Booking rules, questions and payments
Control how far ahead people can book, add breaks between bookings, ask questions and take payment up front.
Availability rules
Open an appointment and go to Availability. Every rule is off until you turn it on:
| Rule | What it does |
|---|---|
| Limit future bookings | Minimum notice: 1 hour, 3 hours, 1 day, 2 days or 1 week |
| Limit bookings per day | Stops bookings once you're full for the day |
| Limit bookings per booker | Stops one person booking too many slots |
| Buffer time | Free minutes before and after each booking |
| Hide fully booked slots | Hides full slots instead of showing them crossed out |
The same screen lets you set Seats (several people per slot, up to 50), a Location (in person, Google Meet, or let the customer choose), and extra host emails under Invitees.
Questions for customers
Name, email and phone number are always asked for. For anything else, use Add Question under Intake in an appointment, or Jenny → Appointments → Intake form for all appointments. Answers can be a single line, a paragraph or a dropdown, and each question can be required or optional. You can add up to 20.
Take payment when they book
- 1
Connect Razorpay
Add your Razorpay keys in Settings → Payments (Take online payments with Razorpay).
- 2
Turn it on per service
In the appointment's Services, set a price and switch on Require payment before booking.
The booking is only made after the payment goes through.
